Affinity Groups
As the TNM provincial network expanded, it became evident that there was a pressing need to recognize and uplift voices and stories that are often marginalized in mainstream society and the mental health sector. This realization led to the creation of our two Affinity Groups: Rainbow Connections Affinity Group and The Gifts of Our People Group. These groups symbolize our dedication to allyship and our commitment to amplifying youth voices to drive meaningful change.
The Gifts of Our People
The Gifts of Our People program celebrates the diverse talents and skills within our community. By providing a platform for individuals to showcase their unique abilities, we foster a sense of pride and belonging. Participants can share their crafts, stories, and traditions, enriching the community with their unique contributions.
This program not only highlights the rich cultural tapestry of our community but also encourages mutual respect and understanding. Through workshops, exhibitions, and collaborative projects, The Gifts of Our People brings everyone closer, creating a vibrant and inclusive environment.
Rainbow Connections
Rainbow Connections is designed to build bridges within our community by promoting inclusivity and support for LGBTQ+ individuals. This program offers a safe space for dialogue, education, and celebration of diversity. Through various events and support groups, Rainbow Connections aims to create a welcoming environment where everyone feels valued and accepted.
